Putting People First!

ABOUT ME

As an El Paso native who moved to central Texas in 1988 to attend Texas A&M, I understand firsthand the appeal and potential of Bastrop. Our family moved from Austin to Cedar Creek in 2007 and finally settled in Bastrop in 2017. During our time here, I have witnessed so much growth in Bastrop County. From the opening of Cedar Creek High School in 2010, to the establishment of the Colorado River Collegiate Academy in 2015.  I have seen how our children are the future, and I have seen how that future can be jeopardized by affordability. If elected as your City Council member, I will work to protect this future by working to foster conscientious economic development and prioritizing the needs of the people of Bastrop.

As a retired healthcare worker with over 30 years of navigating private, state, and national hospital policies and growth, I have the necessary skillset to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.

When I’m not actively engaging with the council as a citizen, I like to spend time with my family, our many pets, and visiting Fisherman’s Park! Let’s chat about how we can make Bastrop better, together.
