By working with the EDC and DRC we must consider where the appropriate places for big business to grow. We want the conveniences they offer but without compromising our natural resources like the pines, Houston Toad, and the Colorado river.

We need to encourage small and niche business to the city, We need to support local business. restaurants, entertainment, B&B and outdoor activities. Keep Bastrop a destination city by attracting day trippers and vacationers to continue to bring in tourism dollars.

What capital improvements will be needed in the immediate future?

Public Safety. An increased police presence during special events or day to day living. We need to research ways of funding without raising taxes.
